Chantal Rodriguez

Chantal Rodriguez, PhD is the Programming Director and Literary Manager for the Latino Theater Company, operators of the Los Angeles Theatre Center (LATC). A part of the Latino Theater Company family since 2009, Rodriguez has helped produce over twelve seasons of culturally diverse work at the LATC. Dr. Rodriguez is also a scholar in the field of Theater and Performance Studies with a specialization in US Latina/o Theater and Performance. Currently an adjunct professor of Theater at CalArts, she has also taught at Loyola Marymount University, UCLA, and California State University, Northridge. Her work has been published in journals including: Theatre Journal, Latin American Theatre Review, e-misferica, and Theatre Research International.  In 2011, the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center Press published her monograph, The Latino Theatre Initiative/Center Theatre Group Papers which was nominated for three Latino Literacy Now International Book Awards. She has been recognized as a Young Leader of Color by Theatre Communications Group and is also a Steering Committee member of the National Latina/o Theatre Commons and the Latino Theater Alliance of Los Angeles.
